Family History Month 2017


Tauranga City Libraries in conjunction with Papamoa Branch of NZ Society of Genealogists and Mount Maunganui Genealogists, invite you to attend a series of Family History Month events.

All events are free of charge. Registration is essential. Call 577 7177 or email library@tauranga.govt.nz to register.

Friday 28th July - Getting Started with Research

The Papamoa Library will be open to registered participants between 8.30am and 9.30am.

Come along to learn how to take your first steps into the world of Family History research.

 

Friday 4th August – Popular Genealogy Websites

The Papamoa Library will be open to registered participants between 8.30am and 9.30am.

This is a computer-based workshop focussing on family history data available online.

You are welcome to bring your laptop or use one of our computers.

 

Individual Family History Research Assistance:

Tauranga Library: Friday 10am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4pm

Papamoa Library: Last Friday of the month 10am – 12 noon.

 

Thursday 17th August – A Night in History 

Come along and be Locked-in after dark at the Papamoa Library between 5.25 pm and 9.30pm

A chance for you to do your research after hours. There will be experienced genealogists to offer advice, workshops and presentations to attend and a shared supper.

Bring your research material and your own laptop if you have one.

  • Registration is essential – contact the library
  • Please arrive before the Library is locked at 5.30pm.
