All of our libraries (except the Mobile library) have computers and Chromebooks available for everyone to use. You do not need to be a library member to use them.
Library computers and Chromebooks are free to use for everyone. You can use your library card or a guest pass to log in. Please see a staff member.
Once you're logged on to the library computer or Chromebook, you are allocated 60 minutes before the computer will automatically log off. If you need more time on the computer to print or work, you can come and ask staff to extend your time. Be advised that staff may not be able to fulfill this request if there are other members of the public that have reserved a library computer or Chromebook.
- We recommend bringing your own USB stick/drive to save your work on to. Please be aware that not all USB sticks/drives are compatible with our library computers and Chromebooks.
- Save your work to an online cloud storage service such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Email your work to yourself so when you log in to another device, you'll still have access to it.
Our Library computers and Chromebooks are set up to use Google Chrome and Microsoft Office 365 software.
You can magnify your screen by using your keyboard 'control' key and the '+' (the plus key)
Yes, you can. Be advised that our APNK printers are not equipped to print A3.

Tauranga City Libraries offer print-from-your-own device services. You will need an email address to do this.You can send a print job from anywhere (including your personal device in the library, or your computer at home).
There is no limit to the amount of time you can stay connected to our APNK wifi network. If you have any trouble connecting to our APNK wifi network, we recommend typing 'apnk.nz' into your web browser. From here it should bring up the APNK terms and conditions to be read and accepted.
Ask one of our friendly librarians who can direct you to our free online resources that are accessible through the library website. There may also be courses that the library is running at the time.
