All Tauranga City libraries have computers available for use during opening hours. Our Windows computers have a number of programmes available for you to use including:
- Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Publisher
- Adobe Digital Editions

- PDF-XChange Editor
- Sigil
- Skype
- Scratch Offline Editor
Are you a researcher, historian or have an interest in tracing your family history?
Our computers have access to:
- Find My Past
- Ancestry
- British Newspaper Archives
Headsets are required for watching movies or listening to music..
Time allowance for standard internet computers is 60 minutes for library card holders and 30 minutes for visitor passes. More time may be allowed, subject to availability.
Research Collections also has a computer for genealogist use only. If you need a quiet space and help from a librarian, consider this as an option as well.

Children using computers and internet enabled devices
While library staff will assist children in the safe use of the internet, this does not mean that the staff accept the responsibility for supervising that use. Parents and caregivers have the primary responsibility for supervising their children’s use of the internet while using Tauranga City libraries computers and accessing the public wifi network.
