Sparkly Star Wands

Enjoy stories and songs and then use your imagination to decorate a star wand.

Designed for children aged 3 - 6 years. Registration required. A parent or caregiver must supervise children and some children will require parental help.

Listen to a story and then make origami and/or woven stars.

Maara Kai 

Listen to some stories, complete a scavenger hunt then plant some kai seeds to take home.

For young people of all ages. Registration required.

Moon Hack

Help us beat the 2017 record of 28,575 kids from around the world coding together in one day. We will be working on an exciting new Code Club project using the Scratch coding platform. The aim of Moonhack is to give new challenges to kids who love coding and for kids new to coding to give it a go.

For children aged 8 and up. Registration required. Children attending the Tauranga session need a wifi-enabled, fully charged laptop. Children attending the Greerton session can bring their own laptops or use the library computers if they don’t have laptops.

Lego Free Play

A story, some puzzles and 100s of pieces of Lego to build something using your imagination (no kits provided).

As the Lego building sessions are popular, please book for only one session per child. For children aged 4 - 10 years (no children under 4 for safety reasons). Registration required. A parent or caregiver must supervise children.

Lego Kits

Tween Bookclub  

Come and discuss all things Harry Potter and take part in Potter-themed activities.
