Join Kristen Phillips, author of Dad, You’ve Got Dementia: Conversations with my father, for an informative and supportive session for whānau, family, and friends of people living with dementia. Kristen, who works with Dementia New Zealand and reviews dementia books for the New Zealand Dementia Foundation, will share personal stories, practical advice and reflections from her own family’s experience.

The event will begin with a brief overview of dementia, before Kristen speaks and reads from her book, focusing on carer stress and the importance of staying connected. After a cuppa, chat, and time to browse books and library resources, Kristen will return with more practical tips and book recommendations, followed by a Q&A.
