Tech Hour classes resume from Monday, 8 February 2021.
Tech Hour is a great way to be introduced to a world of coding and design. Learn basic block programming, tinker with some of our robots (Edison, Ozobot, LEGO Mindstorms, Sphero) and create your own circuits (Makey Makey, Micro:BIT). At the end of each term your child will earn themselves a completion certificate and take away a creation of their own.
This is a free programme for children aged between 9-14 years old. Numbers are limited to 12 per library branch, per term.
Please note: coding at Tauranga City Libraries has proven to be extremely popular, so we do ask that parents ensure their child attends all sessions.
Tech Hour will be offered at the following branches and times:
Tauranga Library
Monday’s from 3.30-4.30pm in the Learning Centre (Level 1)
Pāpāmoa Library
Friday’s from 3.30-4.30pm in the Library (Heritage Section)
Greerton Library
Thursday’s from 3.30-4.30pm in the Meeting Room
