Tummy troubles? Join us to learn how Alana conquered her grumbly gut and created a range of tummy-friendly recipes.
Whether you have a food allergy, need to be gluten free or are on the scientifically-proven low-FODMAP diet, Alana Scott is here to help you love your food! Alana is the author of The Gut-friendly Cookbook, which has been specifically designed to support people with food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome and coeliac disease.
Alana found out how difficult it can be to work out what you can and can’t eat when she was diagnosed with coeliac disease, irritable bowel syndrome and a tree nut allergy. She now puts her knowledge to good use as an author with the support of her team of gut-health-expert dietitians.
You’re invited to join Alana for an entertaining hour as she chats about living with gut issues and the hilarious situations she’s ended up in (have you ever tried to fart at a networking event?..);. Alana will share how she rediscovered her love of food and learnt to cook, why she wrote The Gut Friendly Cookbook, plus all the adventures and mishaps that came with it. Finally, she’ll reveal how she’s created a flourishing online community that supports over 1.4 million people with gut issues.
After the event you can even grab your very own signed copy of The Gut Friendly Cookbook.
The Gut Friendly Cookbook: $45.00 per copy
Payment: Cash or EFTPOS available
FODMAP is an acronym that represents a group of fermentable sugars - Fermentable Oligo-saccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols – these are short-chain carbohydrates. They are found in a wide range of foods and can trigger unpleasant gastrointestinal symptoms in some people.
Alana’s mission to find delicious low-FODMAP foods inspired her to develop a successful website called alittlebityummy.com and a range of tasty recipes using low-FODMAP and gluten-free ingredients. She has all her recipes reviewed by a FODMAP trained registered dietitian, and her many followers have been asking for the best ones to be gathered into The Gut-friendly Cookbook.
The Gut-friendly Cookbook is a catalogue of delicious meals, sweet treats and plenty of easy-to-read background information on FODMAPS. There’s also a shopping guide and great tips on how to improve your gut-health as well as overall well-being through the whole cycle of the low-FODMAP journey.
The book has been endorsed by Allergy New Zealand.
