Come along and create your own hand-sewn Matariki star or moon soft toy using repurposed vintage blankets and recycled materials.

Matariki is a time to connect, reflect, try new things, and set new intentions for the year ahead. Through creativity and hands-on making, tamariki can explore imagination, sustainability, and storytelling in a fun and supportive space.

Led by local Māori artist Kalena, this workshop encourages creativity, connection, and giving new life to beautiful recycled materials.

  • All materials supplied
  • Suitable for tamariki
  • Sustainable & creative fun

Hosted by N.E. events and Putiputi Recycled.

There’s a free Pocket Sized Play activity between 10.30am – 12.30pm every Saturday.
